Spanish giants to prefer England international over Tottenham defender

Manchester City join Real Madrid in the race for £85k-per-week Tottenham star Pedro Porro.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane, with Spanish giants Real Madrid being linked with a possible move for the Spanish giants.

The Lilywhites full-back has taken massive strides in his game since moving to the Premier League, having established himself as one of the best right-backs in the English top tier. Those credentials have been paying off for the Manchester City graduate as the European champions look to bring him to Santiago Bernabéu.

Real Madrid are reportedly looking to bolster their right-back options in the upcoming 2025 transfer window owing to Dani Carvajal’s long-term injury. The Los Blancos have reportedly identified Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold as a prime target to fill the void left on the right defensive flank; however, they look at Spurs’ Porro as an alternative for the England international, per Fichajes.

That being said, given that Porro is highly an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s side at Hotspur Way, Daniel Levy would ask for a considerable fee if he were to sell him in the upcoming summer transfer window, which makes it unlikely for Madrid to pursue his signatures given that they can land Trent on a free deal.

For Tottenham, despite all the rumours of an exit, Levy and his team will have to try and keep hold of the player to ensure that the club continues to build on the progress that Spurs have enjoyed under Postecoglou.
