Tottenham Hotspur skipper Son Heung-min facing fresh fitness concern.

There is no debate to be had over whether Son Heung-min is a veritable Tottenham great.

Nearing a decade of service for the North London club, Son is also nearing the end of his contract, and links are emerging with clubs outside of England.

Shock Türkiye link emerges for Son Heung-min

As reported by Turkish outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray are considering making a move for Son Heung-min.

The reigning Süper Lig champions, also the current table-toppers in the league, are keen on bolstering the left side of their attack and will try to make a move for Son for a fee in January or go for a free move in the summer.

The South Korea international is in the final year of his £190k-per-week Spurs contract and will be able to talk to clubs directly over a free summer move when January comes around.

The Spurs captain is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €45 million and has three goals and assists each from 11 appearances across all competitions this season.

The argument in favour of moving Son on

Son turns 33 next season. Not only is he not getting any younger, his form so far has also been average at best, hinting at a decline.

Now, he may very well be able to register decent numbers over the rest of the season to at least warrant a short-term extension of his contract, but in the long term he will need to be replaced any way.

If Galatasaray are genuinely willing to offer money for him in January, given his current market valuation and the fact that Daniel Levy was able to extract a three-figure sum from Bayern Munich for an over-30 Harry Kane who was in the final year of his contract at the time, one must not rule a mid-season Son exit out.
