In the summer transfer window gone by, Tottenham were able to establish themselves as an outfit capable of going toe-to-toe with the likes of Man City and Liverpool in terms of scouting promising young talent and convincing them to come to North London.
And they hope to that once again for an emerging talent out in Spain.
Tottenham join Liverpool and Man City in pursuit of Raúl Moro
As reported by Super Deporte, Tottenham have joined Liverpool and Man City in the pursuit of Real Valladolid winger Raúl Moro.
The diminutive 21-year-old joined the Blanquivioletas permanently this season after impressing them last term while on loan from Lazio. Already, his transition from LaLiga2 to LaLiga is looking seamless, with the Spain U21 international having been one of the most creative outlets in Europe this season.
The former Espanyol, Barcelona, and Lazio academy player has three goals and an assists from 13 LaLiga appearances this season.
Valued by Transfermarkt at €4 million, Moro has in place a €20k-per-week contract at Valladolid set to run until June 2028.
Better to stay put for now
Moro’s market valuation suggests he could be a proper Daniel Levy signing, though his current numbers suggest he would probably end up being more of a Bryan Gil than a Dejan Kulusevski.
For now, Moro’s better off playing in LaLiga and continue gaining plaudits. Valladolid can expect that market valuation go up exponentially if Moro continues growing at the current rate.
