Tottenham ‘serious suitors’ for Jadon Sancho next summer
Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on a number of forwards heading into next summer as they eye a long-term replacement for Son Heung-min. Though the captain’s contract has been extended through till June 2026, there is no guarantee over how much utility he will add to the team afterwards given that he is beyond 30 and might also pursue another challenge before hanging his boots.
Understandably, a left winger’s acquisition would be the best like-for-like option for Spurs and as per TEAMtalk, they are interested in signing Jadon Sancho and have emerged as ‘serious suitors’ for his transfer. Sancho is currently owned by Manchester United but Chelsea will need to fulfil some easy targets before they are obliged to permanently acquire him after the season ends.
He has made a name for himself in his early days in west London having won the support of the fans, but with investments in Joao Felix and Pedro Neto over the recent past, Chelsea will let him leave for the right price. How much that amount is remains to be determined, though the Blues could seek a profit on the £20-25 million they must pay Man United.
Sancho’s addition will benefit Tottenham as he is a fascinating and dynamic winger, who has left a troubled spell at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag firmly behind him. He guided Borussia Dortmund to a Champions League final in the second half of last season and has started the ongoing campaign as one of Chelsea’s most frequently used players in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen if Sancho is intrigued by Tottenham Hotspur’s interest or prefers staying at Chelsea for good but in either case, Champions League qualification for the north Londoners will be a crucial factor if a move for the English international were to fall into place.
