Postecoglou believes he will be missed after he leaves Tottenham Hotspur.

This season, like many before it, Spurs have been as ‘Spursy‘ as ever. After a tough defeat to Ipswich, which sparked calls from many fans for Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal, the frustration was understandable. However, after today’s remarkable 4-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad, Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has firmly stated that the club must continue to back Postecoglou.

James Maddison’s two goals within the first 20 minutes of Tottenham’s Premier League clash left Manchester City stunned. Things only got worse for the hosts when Pedro Porro added a third just seven minutes into the second half. To cap off a remarkable performance, substitute Brennan Johnson sealed the victory with a fourth goal in stoppage time.

The Legend trusts Postecoglou’s process

Tottenham may not have been one of the top teams this season, but they refuse to give up. Even after losing to newly promoted Ipswich, they stayed committed to their mentality and trusted the process, which led to their victory over champions Manchester City. Roberts explained that, although he refrained from giving his verdict after the Ipswich game, he’s convinced Postecoglou is a top manager and Spurs must stick with him, even through tough times. With wins over both Manchester clubs, Spurs now look forward to turn their fortunes around, despite the ongoing injury issues. Spurs now have more wins than losses on their plate which serves as a good news for the Lilywhites but it definitely is not the right time to be complacent.

The legend wrote,

“I stopped myself from posting last week after the loss to Ipswich but as I keep saying we all need to keep with this manager, he is simply wonderful!”

“You can see more than any manager what he is trying to do at this club. A top top manager.
