Tottenham Hotspur keen on Ajax Amsterdam starlet Devyne Rensch.

In recent months, Premier League heavyweights have demonstrated a strong shift towards moving for senior professionals before they are scooped up by scouting powerhouses like Brighton and Brentford only to be moved on for huge profits.

To that end, three Premier League bigwigs have set their eyes on a former Nigeria U23 international currently plying his trade in Spain.

Tottenham set to tussle with Chelsea and Liverpool for Getafe’s Christantus Uche

As reported by Fichajes, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Liverpool are monitoring the progress of Christantus Uche.

The Getafe forward is in his first season in La Liga, having moved to the Estadio Coliseum in the summer from lower-league Spanish side Ceuta for €500k.

Even though he has just one goal to show for his efforts in the 14 times he has represented Geta, his ability to take on opposition defenders in the Spanish topflight is already making him noticeable.

Uche reportedly has a €25m release clause in his €180k-per-year Getafe contract along with a 20% sell-on clause inserted by Ceuta. He is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €5 million.

Too early

It is simply too early for any Premier League side, let alone the bigger names, to come in for Uche, who is still very raw and very early in his topflight career.

If Getafe are adamant about sticking to their release clause, as is reported and something that can be sympathised with given the 20% Ceuta sell-on clause, then it would be wise for his suitors to let Uche focus on his trade at Getafe and play at least one more season there.

If all goes to plan, we could be here this time next year talking about Getafe rushing to offer Uche a new deal to either scrap or increase his release clause.
