Tottenham host Fulham in the Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur host Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on matchday 13 of the Premier League on Sunday, December 1st, at 13:30 local time. After hammering Manchester City by a 4-0 margin last weekend, Ange Postecoglou’s side will be hoping to overcome the west Londoners to secure three vital points and continue their hunt for a top four spot.
Fulham, on the other hand, will travel to north London having been routed themselves on matchday 12. Wolverhampton Wanderers earned a 4-1 success at Craven Cottage in Marco Silva’s team’s previous league outing. They are, however, just one point worse off as compared to Tottenham so it will be an interesting game to watch between two teams capable of playing eye-catching football.
Team News
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur will be without Guglielmo Vicario after his ankle fracture against Manchester City and there is no positive update regarding the injuries suffered by Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert either. Mikey Moore is ill, so a doubt for the match, whereas Rodrigo Bentancur remains suspended and will be unavailable for the game as well.
James Maddison will be expected to start after being benched midweek. He scored a brace last weekend against Pep Guardiola’s Man City and has been in generally good form. There are unlikely to be many rotations in the Spurs line-up given the importance of the clash and also keeping in mind that Fulham, considering their form this season, cannot be underestimated.
PREDICTED TOTTENHAM XI (4-3-3): Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son
Fulham
Fulham’s injury problems are nowhere as grave as Tottenham Hotspur’s, though they could be without a handful of players themselves too. Joachim Andersen, Jorge Cuenca and Harrison Reed are certain to miss out, while doubts are persistent over Carlos Vinicius’ ability too considering he recently suffered a knock.
Former Arsenal man Emile Smith Rowe will be the visiting side’s biggest threat going forward, thanks to his three goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, whereas Raul Jimenez cannot be slept on either given his four strikes in the English top flight. Elsewhere, Alex Iwobi and Antonee Robinson will also have to be kept close tabs on throughout the game.
PREDICTED FULHAM XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Iwobi, Smith Rowe, Traore; Jimenez
Match-deciding duel
Dejan Kulusevski vs Antonee Robinson
Dejan Kulusevski is likely to be utilised down the right wing on Sunday and with good reason, as Brennan Johnson might not be up to the defensive task of keeping Antonee Robinson at bay. The Fulham left back has been a constant threat in the final third this season and is very much capable of hurting Spurs if he is not tightly marked.
Robinson’s position higher up the pitch could also allow Kulusevski to have space down the right flank to exploit and if his performance is up to the mark, as has been the case more often than not recently, Tottenham could be in for a rather comfortable win. An exciting duel awaits between two very good players.

Prediction
Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Fulham
Tottenham will start a busy December on a strong note and their home advantage will pay off. A makeshift backline means Fulham will likely breach it once, although the offensive department is in good enough form to earn another three points.
