Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou would have been hugely disappointed by the Bournemouth defeat
Tottenham Hotspur suffered yet another disappointing defeat in the Premier League on Thursday when they were beaten 1-0 away to Bournemouth.
The Lilywhites have been one of the most unpredictable teams in the top flight. From the highs of beating the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Aston Villa, Ange Postecoglou also had to witness the lows of losing to the likes of Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town and Bournemouth.
After a substandard 1-1 draw with Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last time out, Spurs fans were hoping to see a strong response against Bournemouth, but it simply didn’t come. The result left the North London outfit 10th in the standings, prompting the fans to clash with the Greek-Australian tactician after the full-time whistle.

The pressure is subsequently growing on Ange Postecoglou after such an inconsistent run of results. However, according to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Tottenham have no intention to sack Ange Postecoglou. The 59-year-old has endured a difficult season but they still have complete faith in his ability to take the team to the next level.
Spurs have missed countless opportunities to position themselves in a strong position amid the intense race for the Champions League spots. They currently sit six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City after just 14 matches. While the gap isn’t intractable, the alarming nature of the inconsistency of results will concern the chiefs at the Hotspur Way.
However, the aforementioned report adds that Daniel Levy is not overly worried by Tottenham’s form. The English businessman and his bosses also feel that the 59-year-old has been unfortunate this season with several key players suffering injuries. The unavailability of experienced pros such as Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, Son Heung-min and Dominic Solanke in different junctures of the campaign has made Big Ange’s job at N17 difficult.

As a result, Postecoglou isn’t close to getting fired by Spurs. The next few weeks where Spurs face the likes of Chelsea, Rangers, Southampton and Manchester United will provide a clear picture about Big Ange’s future at White Hart Lane.
The Greek-born manager’s side were completely overrun and outplayed by Bournemouth in midweek and the 1-0 result flattered the North Londoners, which should come as a mighty lesson for him and his bunch of players.

Next up for Tottenham is the hosting of the in-form Chelsea side on Sunday. The White Hart Lane faithful have started losing patience with Big Ange of late, and tempers in North London could boil over if his team lose heavily to Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.
