Tottenham Hotspur wide forward Dejan Kulusevski has been playing some exceptional football in the ongoing 2024/25 campaign as the Swede winger has taken up more of a central role, replacing James Maddison in the middle of the park of late. He not only glides through tight spaces with ease but also has that goal-scoring knack that allows Spurs to operate with high accuracy and intensity.
His rise will get multiple clubs across Europe to start a possible conversion to land the player in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals; however, John Wenham, owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, isn’t worried about any potential exit for the Sweden international. He also insists that the 24-year-old has been the ‘best player’ at White Hart Lane this season.
Kulusevski emerges as key player at N17

While on mic for Sky Sports, Manchester United icon Gary Neville suggested that several European clubs would be looking at Kulusevski; however, in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham squashed such suggestions, insisting that the Lilywhites have no interest in letting the winger leave.
He said:
“I think he’s been our best player all season. His skill set is phenomenal for someone of his frame, he’s got a really unique style and he is still very young. The beauty of this for Tottenham is that he is contracted with the club until 2028 and his value is absolutely skyrocketing.
“However, I don’t think Tottenham will have any desire to sell him. I think he’s only going to get better and better. The club make so much money from other revenue streams, they don’t need to sell players. I’m sure Kulusevski is on the list of all big clubs.
“However, he seems very happy in London, and I’ve got zero worries about him leaving the club.”
Tottenham are in a strong position with Kulusevski, especially given his current contract situation; however, if he continues to put in consistent displays, Daniel Levy would be looking to tie him up on a new deal soon.
If Kulusevski’s trajectory of improvement remains on the current track (especially with his inversion), it’s not just a case of him becoming a key player at White Hart Lane; he has the capacity to be one of the most desired players in Europe and all so while keeping him in North London for the long term.
