Tottenham Hotspur suffered an embarrassing defeat against Chelsea at White Hart Lane, and while the 3-4 scoreline doesn’t look as bad, the actual gameplay highlighted multiple problems in this Spurs side; moreover, while that isn’t enough, former Premier League referee Keith Hackett insists that the Lilywhites forward Dejan Kulusevski should have been sent off in the fixture.
The Swede continued his excellent display in front of goal as he scored the second of the North Londoners three goals, albeit he was lucky to stay on the pitch following an elbow on the Blues midfielder Romeo Lavia towards the end of the first half. And Keith Hackett insists that either Anthony Taylor or VAR should have spotted the elbow and made a decision to show the red card to Kulusevski.
Kulusevski should have seen a red?

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, the ex-PGMOL chief was looking down his nose at the wrong decision. He said:
““Oh dear. That deliberate elbow by Spurs 21 should have resulted in a red card.”
It was a chaotic fixture where both sides were lucky to escape a red card, with Moisés Caicedo being very lucky to stay on the pitch with the Ecuadorian midfielder’s challenge being much worse than that to Kulusevski.
For Spurs faithful, they will be breathing a sigh of relief that the Swede will not face any suspension, though that being said, Postecoglou will now have to dig deep and address the defensive problems and inconsistency given the damp performances of late.
Thankfully for Tottenham, Kulusevski will be available for the upcoming games rather than sitting three out in the Christmas calendar of piled-up fixtures.
