Romano gives latest on Tottenham pursuit of £55m forward Kolo Muani.

Tottenham Hotspur have been struggling to find their feet in the ongoing campaign, and these struggles have left the Lilywhites far beyond their goals and objectives for the ongoing campaign as pressure continues to build on Australian head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs have been inconsistent in the 2024/25 campaign, which has left them in the bottom half of the Premier League table with more losses than wins in the English top tier this season.

The latest of the North Londoners losses came against London rivals Chelsea at White Hart Lane, which has got many pundits and supporters pondering over a possible change at the helm at Hotspur Way. Quite a section of Tottenham fans has been calling for the former Celtic manager’s head given how his side is nowhere near expectations despite quite a lot of money spent.

Chris Sutton backs Ange Postecoglou

Chris Sutton fears Fulham could be a potential banana peel for Tottenham Hotspur.

And player-turned-pundit Chris Sutton has come in support of the 59-year-old, claiming that a bit of patience is required and people need to start accepting his all-out attack philosophies and then always finding ways to criticise them. Speaking on the BBC Five Live Monday Night Club, Sutton said:

“He’s been in the job 18 months—I think there needs to be a bit of patience. He won’t change—that’s what people need to get their head around.”

Postecoglou’s philosophy is centred on hard-working, all-out attacking football that has shown flashes of promise; however, it has always exposed some problems at the back, and many supporters don’t like the fact that this approach leaves the North Londoners too open defensively.
