Tottenham Hotspur are under ample pressure going into today’s game against Southampton given the North Londoners struggles of late, and Ange Postecoglou will have to deal with another problem going into the fixture given the suspension of Yves Bissouma.
The Lilywhites are without a win in five games now, and the pressure is mounting on the Australian head coach, with a section of the supporters calling for his head, and the voices would just raise going forward if Spurs fail to come out with three points later today.
Yves Bissouma suspension adds to selection woes

Ample of the North Londoners players are serving the treatment table, and the absence of Yves Bissouma will be a big blow after the Malian picked up his fifth Premier League booking of the ongoing campaign in the defeat to Chelsea (FT: 4-3) at White Hart Lane on Sunday, 8th December.
And John Wenham, owner of the Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, has predicted who will replace the former Brighton midfielder in the North Londoners midfield. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham said:
“With Rodrigo Bentancur also unavailable, it isn’t easy. Therefore, I presume that James Maddison will be the one to replace Bissouma and start alongside Dejan Kulusevski and Pape Matar Sarr.
“Lucas Bergvall would be the other option. However, despite his impressive cameo against Rangers, I still don’t see him as a Premier League player at the moment.”
The stakes are massive for Ange Postecoglou & Co. with a win against Southampton being highly critical as the Lilywhites look to restore some momentum to a faltering season, and the pressure is also on Maddison to prove his credentials given his demotion to a bench role, and he would come into the game with itching hands to get something out of it.
