Tottenham have expressed an interest in signing Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi
Tottenham Hotspur strengthened their squad over the summer transfer window, bringing in some highly regarded prospects at the club. In came the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert, while the Lilywhites also broke their transfer record by acquiring Dominic Solanke’s signature from Bournemouth.
However, Spurs have endured a hugely inconsistent season and sit 10th in the table after 16 games. Ange Postecoglou has had to deal with numerous injuries, hampering the stability of the team. The 59-year-old will be hoping for some help from the Hotspur Way Chiefs in the upcoming January transfer window.
Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi is one of the names on their list of midfield targets. The Italy international joined Inter Milan on a season-long loan from Sassuolo last year. The deal contained an obligation to buy which kicked in at the end of the season.

After a highly successful debut season at San Siro, where he netted eight goals and registered seven assists in 42 appearances whilst helping Inter Milan win the Scudetto, David Frattesi has struggled to kick on. The creative midfielder has started only four of 12 Serie A games this season, leading to speculation over his future at the club.
According to a report from Inter Live, Tottenham would want to sign Frattesi on a loan deal. Inter would not be happy with an offer like that, unless Spurs insert an obligation to buy in the deal at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Italian champions want to make sure that the North London side pays a fee of around €35m, which is what the Nerazzurri had paid to sign the midfielder from Sassuolo in 2023. Due to interest from other clubs as well, the aforementioned report adds Tottenham are keen to make an early attempt in the New Year to beat competition and offer him higher wages than what he earns at Inter.

Truly, Frattesi is a player who could add a lot of value to Ange Postecoglou’s side. Versatile, energetic, creative and tenacious, the Italian will be a smart option to help Spurs cover a lot of games in the second half of the gruelling season. He is an extremely fit player, having missed only eight games since the start of 2021/22 season.
