“Men against boys” – O’Hara criticizes Tottenham and Levy after Liverpool thrashing

Ange Postecoglou in upbeat mood ahead of Rangers tie; confident despite injuries.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a thrashing at White Hart Lane at the hands of Liverpool this weekend as pressure continues to mount on Ange Postecoglou, and former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has criticised the North Londoners squad alongside Spurs’ chairman in the aftermath of the defeat (more so over the manner of it).

The visitors dominated the proceedings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Luis Díaz, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai found themselves on score sheets alongside Mohamed Salah, who scored a brace, exposing the hosts defence.

It did look like Tottenham had found their feet in the middle of the game, where goals by James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke gave the Lilywhites faithful a glimpse of hope, but that didn’t come good enough to salvage anything as Díaz added a late sixth to seal the Merseysiders win.

O’Hara calls out Levy on social media

From Arsenal top Tottenham, the Jamie O'Hara story.
Jamie O’Hara takes to X as frustrations mount at N17.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), O’Hara didn’t hold back, voicing his frustration with the current state of the squad, writing:

“Men against boys, Levy needs to sort it out; got a 38-year-old keeper, an 18-year-old midfielder playing CB, and a right wing-back playing left back. We are miles off. Read between the lines—this is a poor Spurs squad with a massive lack of quality, built-up players who are average.”

The above words clearly show the growing concerns and frustrations at White Hart Lane, especially about the Lilywhites defensive problems and lack of depth at the heart of defence, especially given that Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven’s presence in the treatment room is forcing manager Ange Postecoglou to deploy Archie Grey (originally a midfielder) as a centre-back.

And with the January transfer window approaching, pressure will start to incur on Daniel Levy to back Postecoglou (or whoever is at the helm at Hotspur Way if the Australian were to be sacked).
