Tottenham Hotspur has a need to bring in a new midfielder in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals given how the Lilywhites are thin in options in the middle of the park, and Daniel Levy has been pursuing a move for AC Milan’s maestro Tijjani Reijnders.
The Dutchman has taken massive strides since moving to San Siro and is someone that can impeccably fit into Ange Postecoglou’s playing style. He is someone who can play multiple roles from the middle of the park, which will bring much-needed dynamism and balance to the midfield at Hotspur Way.
Spurs are yet to replace the outgoings of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovanni Lo Celso in the summer transfer window, and they can land a ceiling-raiser midfielder in Reijnders.
Reijnders to stay put at San Siro?

Milan signed Reijnders from AZ Alkmaar in a deal worth €20 million, and he has been playing some incredible football in Serie A, which has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Real Madrid, alongside Tottenham.
However, in what comes as a massive blow to the North Londoners (and other potential suitors) in their pursuit of the 26-year-old, his current employers are closing in on tying down the Netherlands international in a new contract, and the Milan Reds remain confident about their prospects to keep hold of the midfielder despite rising interest from the Premier League, per Football Insider’s senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke.
While White Hart Lane represents an attractive option for Reijnders or any other midfielder that Ange Postecoglou may target. However, that being said, with respect to the reported developments, the North Londoners and Daniel Levy will have to adjust their approach and possibly start exploring alternative options.
