Tottenham have been tentatively linked with Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford has no place in Manchester United’s squad anymore under new head coach Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese tactician has left the forward out in each of his side’s last four games, and it is very clear now that he does not have a future at Old Trafford.
The England international recently expressed his desire to seal a move away from Manchester United during an interview with reputed journalist Henry Winter. The Red Devils have reportedly offered Marcus Rashford to Serie A giants Juventus in the last few days.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been tentatively linked with Rashford, who has a contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028 (Transfermarkt). Ange Postecoglou, who is in the market for reinforcements after Spurs’ woeful season thus far, has already denied any potential move for the 27-year-old in January.

Now, ex-Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson claims there is no chance of Rashford joining the North London club next month. He thinks the Man United star’s hefty wages will be viewed as a huge obstacle for the Lilywhites to pull off a deal.
“It won’t happen – absolutely no chance. He’ll cost far too much and his wages will be a huge problem. I think he’s a fantastic talent but I don’t think it’s a January move,” Paul Robinson exclusively told Tottenham News.
“Marcus is 27 years old now, sat with a hefty contract, so it won’t be an easy deal for anyone to do. From an England point of view, it’s a shame not to see him play every week because he’s a top-quality player.
“I don’t see Tottenham paying the money to get him out, so that won’t be his next port of call. Manchester United and Ruben Amorim need to get the best out of him.
“He’s made noises and murmurs that he wants out but, at the moment, it’s a difficult deal to do. It’ll be an expensive deal to do in January as well, so I think that cuts Spurs out altogether.”
Back in summer, Tottenham broke their club record by signing striker Dominic Solanke from Premier League rivals Bournemouth. They also reinforced the offensive department by adding talented young winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley and re-signing Timo Werner on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig.

However, owing to injuries to Richarlison and Odobert, the North Londoners are looking to reinforce their forward line in January in a bid to add some quality backup for Solanke. A player of Rashford’s quality would be fantastic for Big Ange’s side, but in reality, a move isn’t feasible as there is no way Daniel Levy will pay the eye-watering wages he currently earns at Man United.

Spurs are trying to get their structure and wage bill intact in the last couple of years, so there is no way Levy would destabilize those by signing Rashford.
