Daniel Levy rejected opportunity to sign 7 goal PL striker who recently scored against Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new backup striker at White Hart Lane as they look to replace Richarlison, given the frustrations with his availability and form since moving to North London; however, Ange Postecoglou wouldn’t have been placed in this position if Daniel Levy had managed to bring in now Wolves ace Jørgen Strand Larsen at Hotspur Way.

Strand Larsen took up the spotlight last week when he netted a last-minute equaliser as Wolverhampton Wanderers managed to find a 2-2 draw with the Lilywhites at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League as pressure continues to increase on the Australian head coach given how Spurs are far and wide of the mark from their season’s objective going into the halfway point of the season.

Daniel Levy has been subject to ample criticism from the supporters for his shortcomings in the transfer markets, and Larsen could be another name on that long list of near misses, per Tottenham News, who insist that Spurs rejected the opportunity when he was offered with a move to N17.

Wolves brought the 24-year-old to Molineux Stadium on loan from Celta Vigo in the recently concluded summer transfer window, with the deal becoming permanent for a £23 million fee if certain clauses in the deal are triggered. And the Norwegian has taken the Premier League by storm given his tally of seven goals and two assists in 19 appearances since moving to the English top tier, which is an impressive return given how Wolves have struggled this season.

While there is still hope for Richarlison to find his form, the North Londoners need to consider their options for potential replacements both in the short and long term, and Larsen would have been a fantastic option to have in the current roster, especially given the style that Spurs deploy under Ange.
