Tottenham have scouted Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush several times this season
Tottenham Hotspur are looking for some reinforcements in the 2025 transfer intervals, as Ange Postecoglou hopes to change the club’s fortunes in the second half of the season.
Adding another centre-forward is among the Lilywhites’ priorities before the January transfer window slams shut as they eye cover for club-record acquisition Dominic Solanke. Richarlison has regularly been deployed in a centre-forward role during his time at White Hart Lane, but he’s struggled with form and injuries of late.
Skipper Son Heung-min is another option, but the South Korean international has time and again proven himself to be effective off the left flank. Amidst the club’s hunt for a striker, they have been subject to links with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush. In fact, Tottenham have scouted the African forward on numerous occasions this season.

Omar Marmoush has been turning heads in Europe with his goalscoring prowess for Eintracht Frankfurt. He is having the season of his life in the Bundesliga, netting 13 goals and supplying eight assists on top of that in 15 appearances.
He is currently the second top scorer in the Bundesliga, only behind Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane. Due to the brilliant form of the 25-year-old, his team are currently third in the Bundesliga, only behind Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
Now, according to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Eintracht Frankfurt have no interest in selling Marmoush midway through the season. The German side are firmly focused on securing Champions League football and they do not believe their star attacker will push for a move now. And Marmoush as well is committed to helping his side achieve a top-four spot and will not force an exit.

This should come as a blow for Tottenham, who are planning to add some reliable cover for Solanke. Marmoush has exploded in the Bundesliga this season, wreaking havoc against opponents with his combination of flair, pace, dynamism, creativity and adaptability across multiple attacking positions. The Egyptian has scored all types of goals, and that combined with his versatility, would have made him a perfect fit in Postecoglou’s system at Spurs.

Not to forget, however, Big Ange is set to have a limited budget of around £25million to spend in this ongoing transfer window, despite Spurs playing catch-up in the race to secure a spot in Europe. So, the North Londoners’ hopes of landing Marmoush have apparently been dashed.
