Mohammed Kudus has taken strides since he moved to West Ham and is one of the most lethal profiles in the English top tier; however, at a time, the versatile forward was close to moving to Tottenham Hotspur, per the latest report by Tottenham News.
The Lilywhites chairman, Daniel Levy, has been on the receiving end of consistent criticisms from the supporters for his shortcomings in the transfer markets, and it looks like the American businessman missed out on bringing Kudus to White Hart Lane before the 24-year-old made a move to Ajax.
Kudus could have been a Tottenham player
The report states that Spurs could have brought Kudus to Hotspur Way in a transfer worth only £700,000 while the now Hammers star was still at FC Nordsjaelland. However, he went out to join Ajax instead and made a move worth £38m to West Ham in the summer window of 2023.
The North Londoners are craving such magic in their roster at the moment, and having him at N17 would have done Ange Postecoglou lots of good given the increasing pressure on the Australian head coach.
Kudus has been a sensation for West Ham after having scored 17 goals alongside a further tally of eight assists in 61 appearances donning the Hammers badge. And given his record, complemented by game-changing performances, West Ham is set for a massive payday ahead of themselves, given how elite clubs have started to take interest in the 24-year-old’s signatures.
