Richarlison has been linked with an exit from Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur have been trying to offload Richarlison, as Ange Postecoglou looks to add a reliable presence to his squad who can provide quality cover for club-record signing Dominic Solanke.
The chiefs at Hotspur Way have become frustrated with the Brazilian international’s lack of availability in the last 15 to 18 months. He has already missed large chunks of the first part of the 2024/25 campaign, clocking only 88 minutes of Premier League action. Richarlison’s continued presence in the treatment room has not allowed Ange Postecoglou to give his star striker Dominic Solanke a break during the gruelling fixture schedule.
The persistent fitness concerns of Richarlison, coupled with Son Heung-min’s diminishing powers and young talents such as Mikey Moore and Wilson Odobert still being injured has meant Spurs’ availability in the offensive department has been a huge problem.

Now, according to Sky Sports News’ transfer blog, Richarlison has no desire to leave Tottenham midway through the season.
The 27-year-old has suffered multiple hamstring problems since the start of the 2024/25 campaign. This has resulted in him missing 23 games already for Spurs, leaving Ange Postecoglou extremely frustrated. That has led to speculation that the forward could be moved on in this January transfer window as Postecoglou looks to strengthen his squad to ease the pressure on his job.
However, Richarlison isn’t expected to go anywhere. Interestingly, the aforementioned report adds that Tottenham are not immediately looking to sell the South American during this ongoing transfer window and are instead hoping that he can return to full fitness to compete for a first-team spot in Big Ange’s side.
With cash-rich Saudi Pro League clubs that could reignite their interest in Richarlison, it looks like neither party has any interest in seeing a move transpire this month. Thus, a move away from N17 for Richarlison shouldn’t be expected at all until the end of the season, at the very least.

If the ex-Everton star can regain his fitness and maintain it, he can be a valuable asset in the Tottenham camp, given how he not only offers depth but also fits into Big Ange’s need for a technically strong striker who is an aerial menace. We are only at the start of the winter window, so nothing concrete can be said about Richarlison’s future at the club.
