John Wenham asks Tottenham to consider signing Milan Skriniar

Tottenham Hotspur’s injury problems have been very well documented since the campaign got underway and it is expected that Ange Postecoglou will be backed with some additions in the ongoing winter transfer window. The Lilywhites particularly need a defender given the gravity of their issues in the back four.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have spent the better part of the last two months injured with Ben Davies also recently pulling up. Radu Dragusin also missed a game some days back, thus leaving the team with no central defenders. A player for the heart of the backline should be a vital addition with John Wenham asking Tottenham to land one.

Transfer News: Manchester City join Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Milan Skriniar .

In a conversation with Tottenham Hotspur News, he expressed his desire to see the club going for Paris Saint-Germain’s Milan Skriniar and had the following to say regarding a possible swoop.

“I think Tottenham would be wise to sign the player on loan with an option or obligation to buy, just as Galatasaray are looking at doing. That seems like a sensible deal. We’ve done that with other players over the years such as Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski. Therefore, the club should look to do it again with Škriniar.”

Milan Skriniar is on the verge of leaving PSG having fallen out of favour under Luis Enrique but would be a fabulous signing for Tottenham, especially considering he is the type of profile the team needs. The former Inter Milan star is superb in the air and has a decent amount of physical prowess as well, so there is every reason to think that he will fit in the Premier League.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

If Tottenham Hotspur can enter the race to sign him, the player could very possibly pick them over Galatasaray. In addition to that, a potential option to buy over an obligation would allow the club to assess his suitability in the squad over the next six months. It will be interesting to see whether Wenham’s recommendation will be taken on-board but there is certainly a lot of value in Skriniar.
