Tottenham now sit in 12th place after another disappointing 2-1 loss to Newcastle, leaving Ange Postecoglou’s side 12 points adrift of the top four and sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League standings. The team is also struggling with an ongoing injury crisis.

Due to the recent poor results and persistent inconsistency, former Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara has criticised Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, urging him to take responsibility and calling out the club’s recent signings, particularly Timo Werner.

End of the road for Timo Werner at Tottenham - is there any chance he can salvage his career? – Opinion

Timo Werner has had a distinguished career, having played in both the Premier League and the German Bundesliga, with an impressive tally of 160 goal contributions in 213 appearances for Leipzig. However, much like his time at Chelsea, Werner has struggled to maintain his form at Tottenham and is now under scrutiny, with questions arising over his place in the starting lineup.

Jamie O’Hara not pleased with the recent Spurs results

Timo Werner, who has had a disappointing season and struggled for game time, delivered one of his worst performances in Tottenham’s loss against Newcastle United. Initially viewed as a promising loan addition, his impact at Spurs has been underwhelming.

Former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara has expressed concern over the lack of depth in the squad, pointing the finger at Daniel Levy for failing to provide Ange Postecoglou with the necessary resources. O’Hara speaking on has criticised the club’s recent signings, especially Werner, and believes Levy must take responsibility for the club’s current predicament.

O’Hara has made speaking on TalkSPORT’s GameDay Live it clear that Levy can no longer remain passive as the team continues to suffer each season due to a lack of backing for the manager and insufficient player acquisitions. He highlighted that the squad is too small and that recent signings, including Werner, have not been of the required quality.

O’Hara speaking on talkSPORT’s GameDay Live, stated

“There is only one person now who needs to step up and make it happen and that’s Daniel Levy”,

“He cannot keep sticking around and looking at this team fall apart every season because he doesn’t back a manager and he doesn’t get players in.

“The squad is not big enough, it’s not big enough at all and the players who have come in haven’t been good.

“Timo Werner, fair play to him, he’s a nice fella, but he isn’t good enough to play for Tottenham. He was a terrible signing and re-signing.
