Ryan Mason claim made as pressure increases on Ange Postecoglou

Romano gives latest on Tottenham pursuit of £55m forward Kolo Muani.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at White Hart Lane in the Premier League, and the pressure continues to mount on Australian head coach Ange Postecoglou as the North Londoners drift further away from their season’s objective of a possible Champions League qualification.

The Lilywhites find themselves in the second half of the English top-tier table as they stand twelfth (12th) in the PL ladder, with the number of losses (10) coming as an aggregate of their wins (7) and draws (3), which shows how bad the club has been in the ongoing campaign.

And with all the faltering performances on the pitch, a wide section of Spurs supporters want Ange Postecoglou to be shown the door given how his all-out attacking style of football is leaving ample spaces at the back and how teams have consistently been taking advantage of this all season without any remorse.

Postecoglou out; Mason in?

The Australian tactician has clarified that his squad needs proper rest and relaxation ahead of their high-octane battle against Newcastle on January 4.
Pressure continues to build on Postecoglou

Given the record, the club appears close to sacking the former Celtic manager and returning to Ryan Mason as interim manager, per the latest by iNews, where Katherine Lucas claimed that Daniel Levy would be looking to get past the current head coach owing to consistent poor results despite the Australian head coach contending with a mass injury crisis.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with iNews (as relayed by Tottenham News), Lucas said:

“How is it possible to judge any coach in those [injury-stricken] circumstances? In the boardroom is one answer. With the punctuality of Michael Bublé thawing out for Christmas, we are fast approaching Ryan Mason season.”

With three league losses in four games, the frustration among the Lilywhites supporters continues to grow, and we will see if that leads to Postecoglou’s sack. That being said, the Australian head coach is already living on time overdue.
