Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham is on the radar of Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur entered the January transfer window having to address some crucial positions in the squad, particularly due to injuries. They have addressed the goalkeeping area, at least, by signing 21-year-old Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.
Reputed journalist David Ornstein revealed on Sunday that Ange Postecoglou’s job is safe at White Hart Lane regardless of Spurs being on a woeful run of form and lying in the bottom half of the table. He also added that the Hotspur Way chiefs are planning to back him with signings in this transfer window.
Reinforcements in defence and attack appear to be an absolute must after the injuries the North Londoners have suffered in these two departments. In addition, it would not be a bad idea to beef up the midfield unit if an opportunity arises.

According to a report from TalkSPORT, Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham after the club sent scouts to watch him this season. London rivals Arsenal, West Ham United and Crystal Palace all have him on their radars, with the latter reviving their interest in the youngster.
Having joined from Birmingham City in the summer of 2023, Jobe Bellingham has established himself as a crucial player for Sunderland at the heart of their midfield. After bagging seven goals in 47 appearances in his first season at the Stadium of Light, he has shone this campaign with four goals and three assists in 22 Championship appearances.
The aforementioned report adds the England youth international, who has a contract until 2028, is valued at £20million by Sunderland.
Jobe, the younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham, would fit the profile and bill at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium amid Big Ange’s aims to sign a central midfielder on a modest budget.

In the 19-year-old, Spurs could land a versatile midfielder who can play in different positions as per the tactical requirements and help the team. The Englishman is not only adept at creating chances and scoring but also equally strong in breaking up the opposition’s play with his tough tackling.

Having added two young talents Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray in the summer, the Lilywhites could enhance their midfield unit further by luring Bellingham to North London from Wearside. And valued at just £20million, Daniel Levy would deliver a bargain if he gets the highly-coveted talent to sign on the dotted lines at N17 this month.
