Tottenham have been linked with Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi in recent weeks
Tottenham Hotspur have already secured their first January signing in the form of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who arrived from Slavia Prague to compete with currently injured No.1 Guglielmo Vicario.
Spurs’ defensive unit have been decimated by injuries this season, with Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie currently on the sidelines. This has led to young midfielder Archie Gray having to fill in at centre-back alongside Radu Dragusin in recent weeks.
Thus, the North Londoners have prioritised addressing the most pressing need of the squad after the acquisition of talented goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky. Getafe’s Omar Alderete has been subject to aggressive links with Spurs.

Spurs are also looking to improve their midfield unit, despite having sufficient options at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal. According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Inter Milan have offered Tottenham the opportunity to sign Davide Frattesi.
Davide Frattesi has not been the first-choice midfielder for Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi this season, and as a result, has made only four starts in Serie A thus far. He has clocked just 585 minutes across 14 league appearances, leading to speculation over his future at the club.
As a result, the midfielder is frustrated with life at Inter Milan. This has led to the Italian’s entourage offering his services to several clubs across Europe, letting them know about his potential availability. The aforementioned report adds that Inter have contacted Tottenham to offer Frattesi’s services, but the player is not keen on a move. He is planning to stay in Serie A, which boosts AS Roma’s prospects of landing him on loan.
Tottenham’s pursuit of the Italy midfielder have seemingly suffered a blow. The player wants to continue in Serie A if he is to leave Inter this month. Frattesi would have been a good option to have in Big Ange’s squad—improving their midfield while competing with James Maddison for a starting spot.

The Rome-born talent is not only adept at creating chances and scoring but also equally strong in breaking up the opposition’s play with his tenacious tackling. He would have fit the club’s profile of signings and the Australian tactician’s pressing and high-intense system like a glove.
