Tottenham surprisingly linked with a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford
The future of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is about to enter its important stages. The forward’s relationship with new head coach Ruben Amorim appears to have soured since the interview he gave last month to reputed journalist Henry Winter over his readiness for a new challenge.
The 27-year-old has been left out of Manchester United’s squads in recent weeks, apart from the 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday which he missed because of illness. But Marcus Rashford’s time at his boyhood is nearing an end, with several top clubs across Europe now starting to make plans to sign him this month.
The England international’s representatives have held talks with AC Milan over a potential loan move. Borussia Dortmund are also interested, with Juventus also weighing up a move to sign the Man United outcast.

Now, according to a report from the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on landing Rashford on loan from Man United. However, any deal would centre around the part of wages the Red Devils are ready to pay, as well as the size of fee if an obligation to buy is inserted.
Spurs are planning on signing a versatile forward who can not only compete with Dominic Solanke but also cover for him. Several forwards have been linked with a move to the North London club over the recent weeks and months, with Rashford being the latest.
Of course, Ange Postecoglou was questioned about his club’s prospects of signing Rashford before last month’s Carabao Cup quarter-final tie with United. The Tottenham boss quickly dismissed the rumours and claimed he had “no interest” in getting involved with the saga, a stance that may have now altered if recent reports are to be believed.

Truth be told, the United star would perfectly fit in Postecoglou’s 4-2-3-1 system at Tottenham. He’d be a brilliant option on the left flank, competing with skipper Son Heung-min, whose powers are clearly waning. Interestingly, the Wythenshawe-born talent would be a dream potential long-term replacement for Son, despite the club triggering a one-year extension in the South Korean’s contract to extend his stay in North London until 2026.

However, two main questions arise here; one is whether Spurs and United can find an amicable ground over Rashford’s astronomical wages. And the next part is to know whether or not Rashford is keen on a move to Big Ange’s Tottenham.
As things stand, a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looks highly unlikely to happen for Rashford but stranger things have happened countless times in the past transfer windows.
