“He is good enough…” – Club insider asks Tottenham to bring in 26yo forward who has struggled for game time

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur have been actively trying to conclude the arrival of Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani in the ongoing winter transfer window, with new progress in negotiations showing that that French attacker, who has been a long-time target at White Hart Lane, could finally be on his way to N17. However, with Italian giants Juventus also in for his signature, Daniel Levy will have to act quickly to secure the 26-year-old’s signature.

Wenham pushes Lilywhites to sign Randal Kolo Muani

The North Londoners are placed excellently on the financial side of things given their continuing commercial success, with the most recent of them being the announcement of a partnership with the New York Jets for hosting their NFL home game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which shows an example of the club’s increased commercial power.

John Wenham, owner of the reputed podcast Lilywhite Rose, insists that such partnerships should do away with any excuses that Levy and Tottenham have not to invest in top-tier talents and pushed the club into bringing Muani to N17.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Muani said:

“These constant partnership announcements don’t stop. Therefore, I don’t expect there will be any issues signing a player like Kolo Muani, because the money is only continuing to roll in. Kolo Muani is someone I’ve wanted from when we were first linked with him.

“I think he would be an outstanding signing for us. He is good enough that people would quickly realise he could be starting for us in a variety of roles. It will be difficult to get him, especially with clubs like Juventus interested. However, we’ve shown in recent times we can beat big clubs to signings, we have the financial muscle to do that now.”

The North Londoners will gain much tactical flexibility while bringing in much-needed attacking support to Dominic Solanke if Tottenham are to sign Muani, whose creative flair and proven goalscoring ability would help ease pressure on Ange Postecoglou in a year that has tested the Australian widely.

It is to be seen where the deal goes from here, but at the time of writing, Tottenham could well be considered favourites to land the 26-year-old who has just scored twice in the French top tier this season.
