Tottenham learn conditions over a deal for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani

There has been so much speculation surrounding the future of Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani amid Tottenham Hotspur links.

Spurs broke their club transfer record to sign Dominic Solanke in the summer. However, with Richarlison spending almost the entire first part of the campaign on the sidelines, Solanke has constantly led the line for Ange Postecoglou’s side. He now requires a breather to avoid a potential burnout.

As a result, the North London club have been looking to add a striker to their roster and have set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani. Looking to bring the 2022 World Cup finalist to White Hart Lane, club chairman Daniel Levy, alongside director of football Johan Lange, flew to Paris last week to try and negotiate a deal with PSG.

Randal Kolo Muani is wanted by Spurs on loan

Transfer news king Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Monday evening that both Tottenham and Juventus have made contact again with PSG for Kolo Muani. The Frenchman will “100%” leave Parc des Princes in this January transfer window, Romano added via his official X account.

Shedding more light on the future of Kolo Muani, an exclusive report from TBR says that a deal for the 26-year-old is expected to be a loan with an option to buy for around £50 million. The player is eager to leave PSG this month in search of more game time ahead of the 2026 World Cup, having started only two Ligue 1 games so far this season.

PSG boss Luis Enrique has left the versatile forward out of his squad in the last three league fixtures as well with speculation surrounding his future continuing to be rife. Spurs have held extensive talks with the ex-Eintracht Frankfurt star, but the aforementioned report adds that Juventus feel they are now the front-runners for Kolo Muani’s signature following talks with his entourage. The Turin giants are now hoping to thrash out a deal for the France international early this week and beat Spurs to his services.

If this happens, it will be a massive shame for Levy and Tottenham considering the time, energy and resources they have spent to bring Kolo Muani to N17. It is believed that the North London club’s lack of Champions League football this season and most likely in the 2025/26 campaign too played a part in the forward’s decision to angle towards a move to Juventus.

Should this be the case, one cannot blame the player for choosing Thiago Motta’s Juve over Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs.
