Championship side Stoke City eyeing loan move for Tottenham academy kid Tyrese Hall
Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has addressed rumours of players leaving Hotspur Way amidst transfer speculation.
The North Londoners are battling injuries to key players, which has forced them to dip their toes in the winter transfer window for reinforcements. They have already snapped up goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague to address a gaping hole in the squad following Guglielmo Vicario’s ankle surgery, highlighting the sense of urgency to fortify a squad that has been stretched this season.
Regardless of the injury crisis at White Hart Lane, chatter regarding the futures of young talents, academy products and fringe players have persisted. Academy kid Alfie Dorrington recently penned a new contract with Tottenham and joined Scottish side Aberdeen on loan for the rest of the season. Now, another talent appears to be heading for a temporary exit.

According to journalist Darren Witcoop via X, Tyrese Hall is expected to leave Spurs on loan. Championship side Stoke City are interested in signing him.
Tyrese Hall was a big part of Spurs’ pre-season preparations. However, he has hardly been offered a chance with the first team this season. Instead, the teenager has continued to work with the Under-21 side.
The versatile midfielder has started all 11 of the Premier League 2 games, but he would definitely be unhappy about not getting a first-team bow yet, given how his teammates from the academy such as Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear have been getting minutes under Ange Postecoglou. Even Dorrington made his senior debut for Spurs against Southampton in the Premier League last month.

While the injury crisis at White Hart Lane have opened the door for several young players to step up and be called up to the first team, Big Ange has preferred 17-year-old prospect Callum Olusesi over Hall on the bench in games. Understandably, the under-21 talent would be frustrated not to get an opportunity to show his potential in the first team in cup games after being heavily involved in the pre-season fixtures.

However, a loan move to the Championship could help speed up Hall’s development and give him valuable first-team experience. New Stoke City boss Mark Robins has a track record of nurturing young talents and backing them to shine, so a potential loan move to the Potters for the remainder of the season may benefit the talented Spurs kid.
