Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new face in the defence in the ongoing winter transfer window, and the North Londoners have been linked with a move for 20-year-old Danish sensation Patrick Dorgu for a while, and given Destiny Udogie’s injury concerns, the North Londoners could move for the Leece defender.
However, while Tottenham and Daniel Levy think about the ifs and maybes of a possible move, other Premier League suitors have gone ahead in the race for his signatures.
Liverpool ramp up interest to land Dorgu

Current English top-tier leaders Liverpool are preparing a €40m bid for the left-back who is widely regarded as one of the top young talents in Europe, given the interest from the likes of Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid in his signature; however, the Reds are looking to outbid the competition at the moment, per Italian outlet Solo Lecce.
Since joining Lecce from Nordsjaelland, he has made over 50 appearances, scored five goals, and has a couple of assists, which is an impressive offensive tally for a full-back.
And with Andrew Robertson’s future at left-back uncertain, the position is up for grabs, and Dorgu looks like a flexible solution.
Lately he has been tried in the right-wing role as well, and it could be the case that his versatile profile ends up giving the Reds squad a different dynamic.
For Tottenham, it is to be seen if Levy is interested and serious about the pursuit of the Copenhagen-born ace, and if so, other teams have started to leapfrog the North Londoners already, and he needs to act fast.
