Tottenham hoping for some movement in the final stages of the transfer window
Tottenham Hotspur began the January transfer window well by quickly securing a move for goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague. Since Kinsky’s acquisition, though, the North London club have not made any further movement in the transfer window.
Ange Postecoglou’s injury problems further increased last week when Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson were ruled out for weeks owing to respective issues. The duo have now joined Timo Werner and Wilson Odobert on the treatment table, depleting the Spurs boss’ forward options.
While the Australian’s position at the club is perilous following a wretched run of just one win in the last 10 Premier League games, the Hotspur Way chiefs have no immediate plans to sack him. Instead, they are planning to back their head coach with new signings.

According to transfer news king Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are looking to bring in at least two players between now and the end of the January transfer window.
“They’re working on it, Tottenham need players. After Kinsky, they wanted to bring in (Randal) Kolo Muani, but as we know, he’s going to Juventus, so that was not possible. The idea remains to bring in at least two players from now to the end of the window,” Fabrizio Romano exclusively told GIVEMESPORT.
Spurs were keen to bring in PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani on loan; however, the Frenchman snubbed them in favour of Serie A side Juventus. Kolo Muani has struggled for minutes at PSG this season and didn’t fit into Luis Enrique’s plans, which opened the door for Tottenham to seek a loan move. But Juventus winning the 26-year-old’s services means Big Ange and Daniel Levy’s hunt for a new forward continues.

Solanke and Johnson’s injuries have further accentuated the need for players in the offensive unit, and with Richarlison unreliable due to his fitness concerns, the recruitment team must accelerate their transfer plans and bring in a quality forward.
The lack of depth in the defensive department has also been a problem. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven’s injury absences for months have hugely hampered Spurs’ stability at the back. Regardless of Romero returning to training and Van de Ven expected to resume working with the first team again from next week, signing a new central defender has to be on the club’s agenda.
With the transfer window entering its final 10 days, fans will hope to see some movement on the incomings front.
