Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been linked with a shock move to Tottenham
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Marcus Rashford at Manchester United amid Tottenham Hotspur’s interest.
The England international has not played for his boyhood club since 12 December and five days later said he was “ready for a new challenge” after head coach Ruben Amorim left him out of the squad for the 2-1 win at Manchester City.
Several clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia have shown an interest in signing the forward on loan from Manchester United. A loan deal to Borussia Dortmund has stalled owing to the potential cost, while a temporary move to AC Milan has failed to materialize because they are signing Kyle Walker on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season.

Following developments with regard to Walker’s loan move to AC Milan, Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport now claims that Marcus Rashford has been “placed” at Tottenham by Manchester United. The Ruben Amorim-managed club are willing to allow their star forward to join Spurs on loan.
Tottenham have been tentatively linked with Rashford in recent weeks, and after Milan seemingly closed their door on him, the forward appears North London bound. It is no more a secret that Man United are pushing their academy graduate out of the club to balance their books and boost their Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) position. Selling or loaning out the 27-year-old would also free up funds for Amorim to reinvest in the final 11 days of the transfer window.
As for Spurs, Ange Postecoglou has been crying out for reinforcements. He made his transfer plea after the 3-2 defeat to Everton last weekend, and reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that the Lilywhites are “privately working” on a forward signing before February 3 transfer deadline.

A player like Rashford is not only versatile but he is hugely experienced in the Premier League, so Spurs could hugely benefit from his presence in the forward line that has been decimated by injuries. When on form, the Englishman can be one of the most devastating players in the division, as evidenced by his 30-goal season in 2022/23.

However, Daniel Levy would be required to break his wage structure if he wished to sign the Wythenshawe-born star on loan.
