Tottenham submit proposal to sign Barcelona winger

Luka Vuskovic feels he is ready to make an impact at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign a new forward in the ongoing winter transfer window as Ange Postecoglou looks to add more dynamism and depth to his roster, and the North Londoners are reportedly considering bringing in Barcelona’s once highly regarded prospect Ansu Fati to White Hart Lane.

And in the latest proceedings as reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Lilywhites have submitted a proposal to Spanish giants about a possible loan transfer with an option to buy. The report further states that Catalan giants are open to the idea of it if the North Londoners are to agree to cover a significant portion of Fati’s wages.

The Spanish giants are looking to not only ease financial pressures from their books but also create room for new signings, and Fati, who was once touted as the heir to Lionel Messi’s throne at Camp Nou, has struggled to live up to expectations in recent years with injuries and inconsistent form. Now a possible move to N17 has the potential to offer Fati a fresh start complemented by some valuable game time under his belt.

However, this is a difficult one for Daniel Levy & his team given a few things. Starting with his injury problems, followed by how he struggled in the Premier League with Brighton (where he was on loan), where he couldn’t adapt to the pace and physicality of playing in England, and that was complemented by his significant wage bill.
