Sheffield United forward Ryan One is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur
With just one week remaining in the winter transfer window, the opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur to bolster the squad for the second half of the campaign is rapidly disappearing.
With injuries aplenty, 11 first-teamers missing during the embarrassing 2-1 home defeat to relegation-threatened Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday, the players currently at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal are now running on empty tanks. The Spurs boss has asked for some kind of help from the board to help lift the squad’s spirits that has been on the floor because of constant poor performances and defeats in the league.
Tottenham are understood to be in the market for a new forward, following an injury crisis that has seen the likes of Wilson Odobert and Richarlison miss significant portions of the season. Now that Dominic Solanke will be out for a minimum of six weeks due to a knee injury, a signing in this area of the pitch should be viewed as a priority.

According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Tottenham have scouted Sheffield United forward Ryan One in recent months. The youngster’s impact in Sheffield United’s first team has started drawing the attention of Spurs and a few other Premier League clubs.
Snapped up by Sheffield United from Scottish outfit Hamilton Academical in 2023, Ryan One has featured in 10 Championship games thus far this season, scoring one goal. He may not be a prolific goalscorer as of yet for the Blades but his potential has shone across through his performances, proving enough to catch the eye of clubs such as Tottenham, Ipswich Town, Liverpool, Brighton, RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, AS Monaco and Juventus.
Judging by the calibre of clubs interested in One, it wouldn’t be wrong to term him as one of the Championship’s brightest prospects. Spurs have been focused on acquiring young talents from Europe, especially Championship football, as evidenced by last summer’s recruits of Archie Gray and Wilson Odobert from Leeds United and Burnley, respectively.

The aforementioned report adds Sheffield United are not looking to sell One in this transfer window, despite signing Tom Cannon and Ben Brereton Diaz this last week. It is quite obvious the South Yorkshire side want to keep the teenage prodigy to aid their promotion hopes, with Chris Wilder’s side currently second in the table.

For all the good work Spurs have done in the last few transfer windows by investing in young talents with potential, they are currently in a position where Ange Postecoglou requires players who can come in and make an instant impact. One is a talent but whether or not he is ready for Premier League football remains a big question.
