Tottenham planning to sign Southampton talent Tyler Dibling on loan with buy obligation clause in the summer
Tottenham Hotspur have endured a shockingly poor run of form in the Premier League this season, winning just one of their last 11 games. They have won none in their last seven top-flight games, leading to the North Londoners slipping to a lowly 15th in the table.
Ange Postecoglou has had rotten luck with injuries in his second season at White Hart Lane, notably to his defence and attacking areas of the pitch. Now, with Dominic Solanke sidelined until mid-March and Richarlison understood to have suffered a fresh injury setback during the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Sunday, a new forward will be paramount to their chances of reviving their season.
Having suffered an unprecedented injury crisis, it is mind-boggling that the Hotspur Way Chiefs have failed to bring in even one outfield player during this winter transfer window. However, there is hope that things will start to accelerate in the final week of the window with Spurs interested in one of English football’s hottest prospects.
-> Tottenham among the clubs in the fray for PL talent ‘half of Europe’ want to sign

According to an exclusive report from TBR Football, Tottenham want to sign Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling on loan with an obligation clause in the summer. This transfer development comes after Tyler Dibling has informed Southampton that he has no intentions to sign a new contract—with his current terms expiring in June 2027 (Transfermarkt).
The teenager has been the Saints’ best player in an otherwise dismal Premier League campaign that looks primed for relegation. The South Coast side have won just once all season, but Dibling’s performances continue to be a rare bright spark. The versatile attacker, who is currently sidelined with an ankle problem, has scored two goals in 20 games in his breakout top-flight season thus far.
The Exeter-born talent’s performances have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe, including Spurs. However, Southampton do not want to sell their academy product this winter and would demand a record fee for an English teenager. The aforementioned report adds that the Saints have slapped a £50m price tag on Dibling’s head.

As for Tottenham, they do not have the finances to fulfil Southampton’s demands now; rather the North Londoners want to take Dibling on loan before paying the entire fee at the end of the season. Having monitored the youngster’s performances over the months, Spurs certainly feel that the England under-21 international can make an immediate impact and provide a creative spark to Big Ange’s side.
