Tottenham Hotspur have been trying to sign Tyler Dibling for a while as Daniel Levy looks to build on his transfer policy of bringing in highly regarded young talent at Hotspur Way and nurturing them into their potential within the club.
However, in Dibling they are looking at a teenager who has shown his potential and attributes in the Premier League with Southampton this season, which has got multiple clubs from the Premier League interested in landing him. Now, Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel has confirmed that the Lilywhites are big admirers of the 18-year-old.
There have been multiple reports claiming that the North Londoners will make a late move to sign the highly coveted wide forward, with Spurs looking at a possible deal to bring in the winger on a possible initial loan transfer with an obligation to make the loan a permanent one for £50m in the summer.
Alongside Tottenham, there have also been reports suggesting Newcastle United has made advances to sign Dibling.
Mokbel speaks on Dibling situation
Now going into the final days of the ongoing winter transfer window, Mokbel insists that the Saints academy graduate is subject to being on the receiving end of significant interest from top clubs across Europe, including RB Leipzig, who are keen on developing him abroad. And speaking on the latest episode of The Last Word on Spurs podcast, the journalist highlights that the teenager may be looking to rather move abroad and try following the footsteps of Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho, and Conor Gallagher, who have made a name for themselves outside of England.

“In terms of Tyler Dibling, I’ve had that name verified by an excellent source. He is a player that Tottenham are certainly interested in. But where that situation becomes complicated for Tottenham is that they are not the only suitors for Dibling. Dibling is one of the most sought-after young footballers in Europe.
“This guy is on the radar of a number of clubs in Europe and in verifying the information about Dibling, I discovered that RB Leipzig have got a solid interest in Tyler Dibling.
“From what I’m led to believe, he can see the merit of going abroad and almost follow in the footsteps of Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho and Connor Gallagher. A lot more homegrown players are going to go abroad to get their opposites to play.”
Tel or Dibling?
Tottenham have also been trying to make a move for Bayern Munich forward Tel this window, and it is to be seen if Daniel Levy can land either Tel or Dibling to boost the attacking roster at White Hart Lane this January. Both of the aforementioned players are backed to make it big, and any move for either will be a highlight transfer of the window.
