Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways this midweek as the Lilywhites won against Elfsborg in the Europa League, and the Lilywhites skipper Heung-Min Son took to social media to congratulate the academy starlets for the part that they played in the game.
We have seen multiple Premier League clubs use the Europa League as a stepping stone for the academy players in the past, and Ange Postecoglou has been doing the same, given how he has been giving ample opportunities to the highly touted talents from the academy at Hotspur Way.
And, yesterday, was one of those days where all the supporters would be proud, given how three of the players from the academy contributed to goals as the North Londoners won 3-0.
Dane Scarlett, who had always been highly regarded but has found it difficult to adapt to the needs of first-team football, opened the scoring in the 70th minute. Damola Ajayi scored three minutes into his debut after replacing Richarlison. And to make it a golden night, the golden boy Mikey Moore sealed the win in added time.
Son takes to IG to praise academy stars
And the South Korean ace, who is not only an influential presence in the dressing room but also an icon at N17 took to social media to express his proudness for the academy players taking all the limelight.

After the game, Son posted on Instagram:
“What an incredibly special evening for our academy and the club. So much hard work from so many people coming together. Nothing but proud!!”
