Tottenham exploring late January move for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to bring Bayern Munich young forward Mathys Tel as Daniel Levy looks to take advantage of his situation with the German giants to make way for a highly touted transfer. Tel has been struggling for consistent game time with his current employers, and he is looking for a way out to not only find a new club but also get some minutes under his belt, something that should not be a problem at N17.

Tel has been one of the highly regarded forwards in world football; however, his development has taken a stopgap since his move to Munich.

Spurs have been looking to bring in a new forward given their clinical problems in the ongoing campaign, and a recent report by Le Parisien insists that the North Londoners have reached a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich over a £50 million transfer for Mathys Tel.

Tel prefers United

Fabrizio Romano claims Tottenham are ready to sign Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel on a permanent deal
Tottenham are ready to sign Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel on a permanent deal, but does he want to move to N17?

However, alongside the Lilywhites, multiple Premier League sides, including Arsenal and Manchester United, are looking to sign the 19-year-old. And according to transfer correspondent Paul O’Keefe, the player prefers a move to Old Trafford over a North London. With Antony leaving the Manchester Reds, Amorim will be looking for a versatile attacker, and Tel’s ability to play anywhere across the front three makes him an ideal signing for United.

Taking to X, he noted:

“The boy wants Man Utd. Let’s see how Bayern play that.”
