In what will be a big relief to Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League with their three points against Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium this weekend; however, there was one of those mockeries from host supporters to the Lilywhites starlet Archie Gray during the game, which shows how the Bees fans are still bleeding about his move to White Hart Lane.
That late hijack from Levy

The Leeds United academy graduate moved to the North Londoners in the summer transfer window after Daniel Levy hijacked the transfer in the eleventh hour from under Thomas Frank’s nose, and all the jeers and boos every time the teenager touched the ball showed how the Bees fans haven’t forgotten about his decision to move to Tottenham.
Archie continued to fill in at the heart of defence and played a superb game where he was not only commanding the backline but also inviting the press and releasing the ball in spaces to create transition-esque situations to benefit Ange Postecoglou’s side. However, if the 18-year-old playing a top-notch game in the English top tier wasn’t enough, he also had to deal with tough times from the fans.
Brentford fans had a chant for Gray
According to Nizaar Kinsella (via. BBC), the right-back cum midfielder who is filling in at the middle of the defence was booed given how Archie chose to move to Tottenham despite completing the first half of his medical at Brentford. And the Bees supporters could also be heard chanting, “You should have signed for a big club.”
That being said, the teenager handled all the jeers well, and it shows how he is already years ahead in his footballing journey.
