Here we go: Tottenham agree eleventh hour deal to bring French sensation to N17

Tottenham are interested in signing Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen.

Daniel Levy has been pushing to bring in a dynamic forward to Ange Postecoglou’s roster at White Hart Lane, and the American chairman has finally come through in the eleventh hour on the deadline day of the winter transfer window as the North Londoners agree to a deal to bring France Under-21 forward Mathys Tel to White Hart Lane from Bayern Munich.

Tel is one of those highly rated young players that took world football by storm during his breakthrough years; however, the Frenchman has struggled to take next steps in his development during his time with the German giants. And the Lilywhites are going to enjoy his services at N17 for the second half of the season.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Tottenham would be bringing Mathys Tel to N17 on a vanilla loan deal. Initially there were expectations that an option or an obligation to buy for the wide forward, however, it is going to be a plain loan citing the development of the 19-year-old while getting some regular football in the Premier League.

For Postecoglou, it is a big relief that Spurs brought someone through the doors in the forward at N17, citing the fact that they were missing out on the likes of Dominic Solanke, Wilson Odobert, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, and Timo Werner during Spurs’ win over Brentford last weekend.

And with Tel in the roster, Spurs not only have another option but also a potential game changer who can add his flair and pace to the front line.
