Daniel Levy has been scraping for a new forward in the ongoing winter transfer window with multiple targets but has backed to no conclusive transfer, and now the North Londoners have been looking at AC Milan forward Noah Okafor, with the Lilywhites enquiring about a potential signing of the Swiss international, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as relayed by Sempre Milan.
The report shows a section of the Italian newspaper‘s print edition that backs Spurs interest alongside London neighbours West Ham United in the 24-year-old attacker.
Okafor can be a good option at Hotspur Way given how he can not only be a threat operating in between the lines but also his versatility means the Australian head coach Ange Postecoglou can change his tactics in-game.
No move to Leipzig…

Moreover, the 24-year-old has been tipped to move away from his current employers before today’s transfer deadline, and while there were reports about him moving to RB Leipzig earlier in the ongoing window, the transfer to the German giants collapsed despite the Swiss even undergoing a medical with the Red Bull-owned club.
Now the reasons aren’t known, but he doesn’t appear to have any injury problems given how he was among the squad to face Inter Milan yesterday. But this would play on any potential suitor’s mind.
Tottenham do need a Okafor like player
That being said, he is a versatile profile that should resolve a lot of problems, which makes him an attractive option for Levy to pursue. Given the injury to Dominic Solanke and questions over reliability on Richarlison, it is ideal for the North Londoners to go into the second half of the season with a new striker that can support the team and take up a bit of goal-scoring responsibilities.
