Ange Postecoglou has been vouching to bring in new faces ahead of today’s winter transfer deadline, with the Australian head coach hoping to land at least another defender despite signing Lens defender Kevin Danso on loan with a commitment to buy after beating fellow Premier League rivals Wolves to his signature, but the Lilywhites incomings don’t end there, with Daniel Levy said to be pushing for another centre-back, and Chelsea ace Axel Disasi has been subject to links with a move to White Hart Lane.
The merry-go-round around Axel Disasi

Disasi has been looking for life beyond West London given how his minutes have been restricted, and given his high potential, multiple Premier League clubs have been looking to take advantage of the situation.
Daniel Levy went on to find an agreement with the chiefs at Stamford Bridge over a possible move for the 26-year-old; however, the player vetoed a move to Hotspur Way, waiting for Aston Villa, with whom he can feature in the Champions League knockout stages.
Tides turn again…
However, according to a recent development as reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Villans have ruled themselves out of a possible move for the French international. Taking to X, the Italian noted:
“At this time of Deadline Day, Aston Villa have stopped talks for Disasi, considering different options. Disasi agreed to terms with Villa last week, but Chelsea still requests a higher fee due to direct UCL competition. Chelsea accepted Spurs bid for Disasi, up to the player.”
It is to be seen where it goes from here, but by the looks of it, if the situation remains the same, there could be a late move on cards to White Hart Lane, given how Levy has already found common ground with Chelsea.
