Kane put in a word about Tottenham to Tel
And given that he was at Bayern, Spurs icon Harry Kane would surely be getting in Tel’s ears about a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over other Premier League suitors. And in an interview with Tottenham’s official website, the 19-year-old revealed that the England international played an important role in convincing him to move to North London.
Kane spoke about his former side as a “big club with very good people,” while insisting on the quality of the facilities at Hotspur Way.
Following the conclusion of his move to Tottenham, Tel said, “He told me that this is a big club with a lot of very good people, the stadium is very nice, the training centre is very good, and if you go there, you will enjoy it. Everything was positive from Harry Kane.”
Time to shine?
Tel moved to Bayern as one of the shining talents of European football, but he couldn’t find his feet and development with the German giants given that playing time under his belt was limited. But with a move to Tottenham, the 19-year-old can develop himself in the Premier League and show his potential on a bigger stage.
