Tottenham are regaining their form with back-to-back wins against Elfsborg and Brentford. These victories have lifted them to 14th place, moving them well away from the relegation zone in 16th. To further strengthen their squad, Spurs completed a £20m deal for Kevin Danso on Sunday. However, Ange Postecoglou is still looking to add another centre-back before the transfer window closes, following Radu Dragusin’s serious injury.

Reports suggest that Spurs are targeting Chelsea’s underrated and underused centre-back, Axel Disasi, who joined the club from Monaco in 2023. Despite being a key player and once seen as a central figure, the Frenchman has not been fully utilized at Chelsea. A move away could be the best option for him to reach his potential.

Tottenham Close to Securing Axel Disasi Deal

The Frenchman is being used very scarcely at Chelsea despite contributing to seven goals in about a year and a half being a centre-back ; in fact, he has only played 61 matches in that period. With his height and physical approach to handling in the Prem, he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw puzzle for Tottenham.

Disasi has on the Wishlist of Tottenham since forerver as the club tried to secure him with various attempts from their London counterparts Chelsea. A deal was struck between the two clubs, but Disasi has opted for a move to Aston Villa instead. However, Villa has not yet completed negotiations with Chelsea, and time is running out as the transfer window nears its end.

For the past two days, as reported by Fabrizio, Tottenham has been pushing for Disasi, especially after Radu Dragusin’s serious injury, but the player is reluctant to take a permanent move due to his wish of playing in the Champions League with Villa.

The Esteemed journo speaking in his latest youtube video, updated us about what happening

“What I can tell you is that Tottenham want one more, because Dragusin’s injury is very serious, and so they are trying for Disasi. [They have an] agreement with Chelsea, long deal, no buy option, big, long fee.

“But the player, as of now, midnight, is still not accepting Tottenham. They are pushing from the club to see what happens with Disasi, but why he’s not accepting is because he wanted to go to Aston Villa to play Champions League Football.”

Disasi would strengthen a Spurs backline that has conceded 37 goals in 24 Premier League matches this season. The deal if were to be accepted by Disasi would be beneficial for all three parties and would see a great outcome coming out of it.
