Tottenham could miss Radu Dragusin’s services for the rest of the season
Tottenham are currently 15th in the Premier League table, and one of the biggest reasons behind their underwhelming results is the injuries they have sustained this season.
The Lilywhites have missed their first-choice centre-back pairing Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven for large parts of the campaign, while left-back Destiny Udogie has also been unavailable since last month. Ben Davies has also spent more than a month on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury.
Every team in the world would struggle if half of their regular starters were missing through injury, so Ange Postecoglou does deserve some sympathy on that front. And the last thing the Spurs gaffer wanted was another injury in his defence, but unfortunately for him, there is some negative update coming his way.

Radu Dragusin suffered a serious-looking knee injury in the 3-0 win over IF Elfsborg in the Europa League last week, which forced him off the pitch in the second half. Now, there are fears that the Romanian defender could reportedly miss the remainder of the season.
While Spurs secured the services of Kevin Danso on loan from RC Lens last weekend, it would not harm them if they added another body in the backline before the window slams shut. The North Londoners have had a massive bid for Crystal Palace skipper Marc Guehi rejected on Monday afternoon.
Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood believes Spurs should recall Ashley Phillips from his Stoke City loan spell amid their defensive injury crisis. The ex-Tottenham boss shared his thoughts on the young defender and why he could help save millions for the club.
“I certainly would [look at recalling players] yes, I think that’s an option, two weeks ago it was a real crisis I would have called them back,” Tim Sherwood said on Sky Sports News.
“Phillips is the boy they signed from Blackburn, he’s a young boy but you just never know until you put them on a stage and see if they can sign.
“This boy might be very good, might save them 50, 60, 70 million pounds on someone who’s not as good but you don’t know until you give them the opportunity.”

Romero remains injured and with Van de Ven being eased into action after his own fitness issues, new signing Danso could be thrust at the back straightaway from the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool at Anfield in midweek. The Austrian could help add some much-needed stability to Big Ange’s defensive line.

Yet, Spurs still lack depth at the back, but there is no point recalling Ashley Phillips on loan from Stoke City. The 20-year-old was sent out on loan to get regular game time and gain more experience, and he has been doing that at Stoke this season.
Cutting short the Manchester-born talent’s loan to only use him as a squad option would be nothing but a disastrous idea, especially with Romero on the comeback trail. With that being the case, Big Ange has to be content with the resources he currently has at his disposal at least until the end of the season.
