Ange Postecoglou has saved faces from a probable sack with a lot of reports citing their 1-0 lead against Liverpool in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup; however, the D-day is here, and the Lilywhites roster will be under massive pressure to deliver.
The North Londoners will visit Anfield Stadium later today to face the highly-flying Merseysiders as the visitors look to end their trophy drought with a first silverware since 2008 when Spurs won the same trophy. And if the Australian head coach succeeds in guiding them into the final, it will be massive celebrations in North London.
Can Postecoglou inspire Spurs to finals?

However, former Scottish professional turned pundit Kris Boyd insists that Liverpool will be ‘too much’ for the Lilywhites even with the current lead that Postecoglou’s side has.
Speaking ahead of the game on Sky Sports, Boyd thinks that the Merseysiders can turn this around. He said:
“I can see this one being turned around, especially, Liverpool at home, Anfield is a fortress. You look back and think if it was 2-0 for Tottenham, then it would have been more of a problem for Liverpool because of the way that Tottenham counter-attack.
“With Ange Postecoglou, the injuries they have got Dragusin is out now as well, yeah, they have been able to add a couple of players but I still think Liverpool have got too much for Tottenham tomorrow night.”
Not a surprising prediction that…
It is not surprising to see Liverpool being the favourites for the tie given how they are surmounting in the Premier League as well as the Champions League this season, complemented by how Ange Postecoglou has been dealing with a lot of injury concerns, with the latest of them being Radu Dragusin, who is set to miss the rest of the season. Micky van de Ven is also being regarded as a touch-and-go for the game, with the Australian head coach confirming that the Dutch defender won’t be taking part in the fixture today.
