TTLB Opinion- Tottenham ace comes under lights following “honking” performance vs Rangers; But what now?

Timo Werner has endured a difficult spell at White Hart Lane in the ongoing campaign with a lot about it reminiscent of that of the German’s final months at Chelsea, where he grinds out the off-the-ball workings but hardly gets by in front of goal, and yet when he does, he ends up fluffing his opportunities.

This has been a thing of frustration among the Lilywhites faithful as well as on the sidelines, and that has shown in opportunities with the North Londoners head coach, Ange Postecoglou, preferring 17-year-old Micky Moore over Werner on the left flank.

Timo Werner time at Tottenham coming to an end?

Given that Werner is on loan at White Hart Lane at the moment, there were reports suggesting that the North Londoners would choose to cut short his loan in the recently concluded winter transfer window; however, the injuries at Hotspur Way meant it was far from consideration. The 28-year-old has made 26 appearances in the ongoing season but has only contributed to one goal alongside three assists.

However, with the January window now concluded, there is a decision on his future to be made among the corridors of Hotspur Way, and per a recent report by Givemesport, the Lilywhites are going to opt against signing him on a permanent deal and send him back to Leipzig in the offseason.
