Tottenham academy starlet Ellis Lehane attracting interest from Juventus and AC Milan
Tottenham Hotspur were one of the busiest Premier League clubs on the January transfer deadline day.
Daniel Levy and his team actually welcomed four players to White Hart Lane mid-season, if one includes Yang Min-hyeok’s arrival too, who has been loaned out to Championship side Queens Park Rangers. The most significant arrival was Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich on deadline day, bolstering Spurs’ forward department which has been decimated by injuries.
However, one of Tottenham academy’s brightest stars is being linked with an exit. According to a report from The Daily Mail, Italian duo AC Milan and Juventus are keen on signing Spurs teenage striker Ellis Lehane. The Lilywhites rejected a late January offer from Serie A strugglers Lecce and are desperate to retain his services.

Ellis Lehane has scored six goals in 10 Spurs Under-18 Premier League matches this season and has started to be eased into the Under-21 side. The youngster’s development within the youth ranks perhaps allowed the club to sanction Will Lankshear’s loan move to West Brom Albion.
Amid the club’s injury crisis—add Richarlison’s latest setback to the mix—Ange Postecoglou may decide to include Lehane in the first-team squad if he continues to score goals in the academy. The teenage striker’s performances have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe and the Hotspur Way chiefs face a big job on their hands to persuade him to stay amid growing interest.
Ange Postecoglou has been leading an exciting project at White Hart Lane, which has gone off the track a bit due to an unprecedented injury situation. The addition of young talents such as Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Tel in the last few transfer windows, coupled with the emergence of academy prospects like Mikey Moore and Lankshear show there is a lot of buzz and enthusiasm within the corridors of N17.

The Australian tactician has not shied away from promoting young talent ever since arriving at the club in 2023. Having seen so many academy prospects make their senior debuts under Big Ange, Lehane should know that talent within the young ranks will be rewarded if they continue performing consistently and developing well.
