Tottenham are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt wonderkid Huge Larsson in the summer
Under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur have made it clear that youth development is at the heart of their project—hence why they signed talents like Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Yang Min-hyeok last year.
The club bolstered its pool of young talent by adding forward Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich in the recently concluded winter transfer window. The current squad at the Australian tactician’s disposal already reflects Spurs’ philosophy of investing in youth and unlocking their potential through the corridors of N17.
The North Londoners are keen to continue going down the same road, and they have identified a talent from the Bundesliga. According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are among a host of clubs interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson.

While it is not clear how Hugo Larsson would be keen to push for a move away from Eintracht Frankfurt, the Bundesliga club themselves are ready to cash in on the highly-rated central midfielder. Frankfurt value the youngster at €60million.
Larsson has been plying his trade for Frankfurt since arriving from Malmo in the summer of 2023. He enjoyed a strong 2023/24 season, netting two goals and supplying an assist in 29 Bundesliga games. The Swede has grown leaps and bounds in the last 15-18 months, as reflected by his performances this campaign. He has made five goal-contributions in 29 matches in all competitions thus far.
Spurs, though, will face a massive problem in getting a deal done for the Frankfurt wonderkid, who is also coveted by the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

While it is clear that Tottenham need to sign a top central defender in the summer, there is also a case to be made about them requiring to freshen up their midfield. Yves Bissouma is out of contract in 2026, so the club may look to cash him in at the end of the season. Rodrigo Bentancur has not proven to be a reliable player for the club owing to his injury issues, while James Maddison’s form has dipped this term.

On the contrary, Larsson is just 20 years old and in the developmental stages of his career. The midfielder has shown enough potential in the Bundesliga to suggest he could be nurtured into a top player in his position. The Swede would be a terrific addition to Big Ange’s side, further bolstering their crop of young talent at White Hart Lane.
However, it will be interesting to see whether the Hotspur Way chiefs will be ready to meet Frankfurt’s €60million valuation for Larsson.
