Tottenham are set to trim their wage bill by moving on Son Heung-min, Timo Werner and Richarlison
Tottenham Hotspur fans have witnessed a terrible 2024/25 season. Ange Postecoglou’s side are in the midst of a dismal run of form and a nightmare injury condition right now.
The amount of injuries Spurs have suffered has been extraordinary. Any manager would struggle to develop a team with persistent injuries and fitness concerns in almost every game. They have had absentees in double figures for large parts of the last three months. That being said, the arrivals of Antonin Kinsky, Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel in January have helped the North London side’s situation to some extent.
While it might presently be vague if Ange Postecoglou will be in the hotseat at White Hart Lane beyond the season, the Hotspur Way chiefs have started planning to revamp the squad after a disastrous ongoing campaign.

According to an exclusive report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham are planning to offload Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Timo Werner from the squad as a part of a squad rebuild.
Regardless of being a modern-day club legend and a loyal servant to Spurs over the years, the chiefs are open to the idea of Son Heung-min leaving White Hart Lane at the end of the season. The North Londoners triggered an extension in the South Korean star’s contract recently that tied him to the club until 2026.
However, the 32-year-old’s form has dipped massively this season, and his recent performances in the Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg defeat to Liverpool and the FA Cup loss at Aston Villa were further testament to that.

Richarlison’s Spurs career has been ravaged by injury problems. Former Watford skipper Troy Deeney recently stated that the South American has lost the edge in his game of late. The 27-year-old spent months on the sidelines due to injury before returning to fitness last month.
However, Richarlison suffered a fresh injury setback during the 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final last week. Now, he is again out for the foreseeable future.
As for Timo Werner, the forward’s chances of staying beyond his loan spell from RB Leipzig appear slim. The German has been a major disappointment, failing to find some sort of consistency in his game this season. His loan expires in June and the forward is expected to return to his parent club RB Leipzig.

The aforementioned report adds Spurs could save eye-watering wages of around £445k-a-week by offloading Son, Richarlison and Werner. Losing three experienced campaigners in one window would be a risky business but Spurs must take a gamble in the summer with an eye for long-term gains in the future.
Losing Son—our club’s icon would be quite emotional for the fans—but if the Lilywhites are to make progress and get back to winning trophies again, tough decisions must be taken and that includes cashing in our skipper.
